I’ve been traveling a bit the past few weeks and woke up with a sore neck the other day.

Shouldn’t be surprised — awkward seats, lugging a bunch of things up and down stairs, the hustle and bustle of all these other people trying to get places too, all that.

A decade ago I would’ve been a little panicked about a sore neck — can I get into my chiropractor?  maybe a massage would work?  what happens if one of those doesn’t work?

Like anyone else, I’m not a fan of being in pain.

But the other day I noticed my sore neck didn’t panic me.  I knew things I could do for myself, my toolkit of Bones for Life processes.

So I got on the floor and played with one process and then used that spiraling-to-stand process to get up and walked around to discover that my neck was 50% better.  Great news!  From just a few minutes of something.

Then I remembered another Bones for Life process that got me curious — maybe that would resolve it?

I played with that process, one we do in standing, and voilà!  Better!

It’s a gift to know these things — and you can too!

Why wait any longer?  Why continue rushing off to a chiropractor or massage therapist or whomever and giving your power over to them when Bones for Life can help you discover ways to take care of yourself most of the time?

Are there times it’s nice to have a massage or Healing Touch session or whatever?  Of course!  But if, with every ache or pain we have, we need to run off to someone else to take care of us…that way of proceeding seems to lack some maturity, doesn’t it?

Maturity comes when we can take care of ourselves most of the time, right?  When we discover we have a personal toolkit that we can adapt to ourselves, to the situation, to the moment…now that’s living!

Is it time for you?
