A New Setting of Ignatius’ Spiritual Exercises: Hearing, Seeing, Feeling Old Stories in New Ways

A New Setting of the Spiritual Exercises:  Hearing, Seeing, Feeling Old Stories in New Ways (2015, 2nd Edition –  2019)

Brian J. Shircliff offers a very different take on Ignatius’ notebooks that gave birth to Ignatian Spirituality through the Spiritual Exercises, and yet this ‘new setting’ is very true to the spirit of Ignatius.  Authors Dan Price, Tamilla Cordeiro, Brian Geeding, Maureen Sullivan-Mahoney, Bridget Rice, Mike Eck, Carol T. Yeazell, Shelia Barnes, Theresa Popelar, Richard Bollman SJ, Bailey Dixon, Melanie Moon, Jalisa Holifield, and Elizabeth J. Winters Waite and artists Holly Schapker, Julie Lucas, & Parrish Monk contribute their personal lifestories to the book . . . the book’s true richness.  An interview with Jean Marie Stross, Dan Price, and Richard Bollman SJ offers a context to this new setting of the Exercises, part of a larger re-imagining of the Exercises in Cincinnati and around the world.

Publication of this book was underwritten by Peg & Joe Conway, in gratitude for the healing mission of VITALITY Cincinnati.  We are grateful to you, Conway Family!

Purchase of this book supports the work of VITALITY Cincinnati, which shares holistic self-care education neighborhood by neighborhood, person to person, and breath by breath through Greater Cincinnati. With an annual budget of $60,000, we are able to invite amazing things, many opportunities for embodiment, for knowing the heart of life, for letting ourselves begin to slow down and listen for that inner teacher inviting us to life and to life and to life, no matter the shadowy darkness and wilderness before us.

VITALITY Cincinnati was founded in 2010 by three friends taking Healing Touch Level 4 and connecting with the common desire to make holistic self-care education affordable and accessible. Many friends quickly joined us, and this new setting of Ignatius’ Spiritual Exercises is fruit of that coming together. We are grateful for your participation!
