Ruthy Alon's wisdom:
“The Bones for Life® program incorporates the strategies of organic learning from the Feldenkrais Method®. These strategies awaken the resourcefulness of the organism to invent efficient solutions on its own, similar to the way we learned as babies how to satisfy our needs at the beginning of life. This autonomic learning is in contrast to learning that is based on an outside authority. Like the learner at the beginning of life, the mature learner is constantly experimenting with new options and unused variations in movement patterns, usually done while lying on the floor.
In order to support this learning, in more realistic conditions of dynamic movement performed in the vertical plane, which is essential for affecting bone, the Bones for Life program provides greenhouse conditions for protected learning that is sensitive to each person’s condition and rhythm.” – from the Immersion 1 manual (which all teachers-in-training receive)
All four of your trainers studied with Cynthia Allen of Future Life Now, where we all continue to teach Immersions 1-3!

Your pathway to becoming a Bones for Life Teacher:
Pre-requisites to joining the training:
Complete Bones for Life Immersions 1 – 3 (90 hours) by Jan 2027 with any Bones for Life Certified Teacher anywhere in the world. If you are currently taking Immersion 2 and are enrolled in Immersion 3 when Teacher Training begins Jan 2027, that works too!
There are four steps in the Teacher Training, the path to Certification:
- Advanced Study of Immersions 1-3 (60 hours)…two Saturdays a month via Zoom from 3:30pm – 6:30pm Eastern/New York…designed to help you teach Bones for Life processes among our worldwide Teacher Training cohort
- Mentoring (24 hours) both one-on-one and/or in a group, both via Zoom. Group Mentoring meetings will be scheduled once a week for 75 minutes on Wednesdays at times conducive to each participant’s time zone. There will be way more offered than you need, so you can pick and choose which times work best for you. Plus you’ll get 5 hours of one-on-one Mentoring with one of the Trainers to help you grow as a Bones for Life Teacher who shares the work in your own unique way.
- Practice Teaching (36 hours minimum) processes from Immersions 1-3 and journal the experience. We set you up well to find a group and do this on your own time and at your own speed.
- Didactic Teacher Training (30 Hours)…an in-person 5-day retreat for instruction in the pedagogy of BFL materials and concepts. We will host this in Cincinnati in Nov 2027, and if there are enough people registered from Europe we’ll conduct a 5-day retreat in Europe, and if there enough people registered in Asia/Australia/New Zealand, we’ll conduct a 5-day retreat in or near New Zealand.
Upon completion of the four step Teacher Certification process, graduates will receive a Bones for Life Teacher Certificate from their country’s Movement Intelligence Director (in the U.S. and Canada from the FMI, as well they need to be a current FMI member). At this point in their certification process, graduates will be eligible to teach the Bones for Life Basic Program as a Certified Bones for Life Teacher, in compliance with their country’s Movement Intelligence Director.
Cost:
- $3950, plus you will pay for your own transportation, housing, and meals for the in-person retreat
- interest-free payment plans available, though if you pay the full tuition by Dec 1, you’ll earn a $350 discount…you’ll pay $3600 instead of $3950!
- A hard copy of all 3 Bones for Life manuals will be shipped to you free of charge
- Your Teacher-in-Training membership to Foundation for Movement Intelligence is also included in the cost
- Class size minimums and maximums have been established. Courses that don’t meet the minimum will be canceled, and payments will be fully refunded.
Training Dates:
Participants will need to attend 75% of the Zoom and in-person training live to earn their certificate. All sessions will be recorded and available for viewing and reviewing during the training.
