In a world that seems to be longing for violence and war, perhaps it’s important to cultivate another possibility within…one of slowing down before making choices, of wondering, of considering possibilities, of considering other fellow humans, of considering Earth and all its creatures.
We are offering two opportunities to slow down and marinate in peaceful possibilities through Ron Stegman’s A Book of Life. As I shared with you, Ron was my high school teacher for two inspiring courses…Morality & Justice and the course he created, Relationships.
Stories were at the heart of both courses, his own stories and stories he invited us to share from our own hearts and stories he shared from other people, with their permission. Many of these stories he collected in A Book of Life.
One story that spans the whole book is Ron and his wife Michele’s story of what inspired them to buy 40+ acres with no debt and build a log home with no debt and live very simply and raise a family there and work jobs where they could share their abundance with people living on the dire edge of life. Through Ron’s spearheading the Mission Collection at St. Xavier High School, he gathered millions of dollars for mission projects in India, Nepal, Mexico, Peru, and other countries.
Ron welcomes friends to come meet him to sign his book and chat at these two opportunities…

Does our world ever need new ways of living! A Book of Life offers a new way — and not all or any of us need to follow Ron’s and Michele’s way…but their story and the stories of all these wonderful people collected in the book might open within you and me new ideas, possibilities that are waiting to be born through you and me, possibilities our world is craving.
May it be so!
