- It was quite the party for our 10th Yoga/Healing Touch & 2nd Advanced Yoga Graduates!
General Information about our 200-hour Yoga/Healing Touch Internships
In our 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, participants study and learn to teach four very different types of yoga classes: Restorative Yoga, Vinyasa / Modified Primary Series, Gentle Yoga, and Chair Yoga. That way you'll be able to successfully teach yoga with any population . . . all anyone needs to do to pracrtice yoga is be able to breathe and sense ourselves. We employ ashtanga principles to the teaching of all four levels, and the focus is on finding ways to modify the practice for any student who comes our way. While we teach the Sanskrit origins of the yoga practice, we encourage our interns to find a voice that is comfortable for themselves and their students. Our program is registered with Yoga Alliance as a 200-hour yoga teacher training program.
Interns also have the opportunity to complete Healing Touch Levels 1 - 3 at a very reduced cost, even more tools to work with people through hands-on energy work or through using some of the meditations of Healing Touch Program in their yoga classes.
A program like this would ordinarily cost $2500 or more. We are able to offer it for a very reduced cost (details in the link above) because we ask our interns to offer their time and talent in teaching our classes as they become ready. We offer two hundred hours of training and expect two hundred hours of give-back: one hundred hours assisting in the community gardens and another one hundred hours in teaching our yoga classes and in offering Healing Touch at our regular and special sessions. Interns usually pick one afternoon or evening a week to complete their give-back hours and then volunteer when they can at our special events.
